Friday, September 4, 2026 – Early this morning, the Nevada Independent published an article titled, “Where do the candidates for Nevada’s most competitive House seat stand on the issues?”
The graphic you see above, which links to the story, Shows what we think is a pretty clear contrast between Republican candidate for NV-3, Marty O’Donnell, and his opponent, Democratic incumbent Susie Lee.
It’s somewhat superficial, doesn’t really get into the meat of the distinctions between the two candidates (which we’ve laid out on our website here: Compare), but serves as a relatively high level overview of the differences between the two candidates.
Below that big graphic are short bullet point items on 10 different topics, but there’s not a ton of substance.
We’d like to see Marty and Susie Lee paired up in a one-on-one robust debate where we can really watch how the two candidates come across when they’re in the room debating the major issues of the day. In our opinion, Susie Lee wouldn’t be able to hold a candle to Marty. She’s an inarticulate rubber-stamper of the Democratic agenda run out of the Hakeem Jeffries-controlled Democratic minority House in Washington, DC. Not an independent thinker, in our opinion. Just spouts Democratic talking points. We find her a little like Kamala Harris without the cackle. Not much depth there, except when it comes to her voice.
Marty, on the other hand, has been steeped in conservative politics since the mid-1960s. He has very well formed and thought out opinions of the biggest issues that should decide this election, such as on the value of US citizenship and the SAVE America Act, boys in girl’s sports, tax cuts, the border, immigration reform, reducing the cost and overreach of government, reducing crime and ensuring criminals suffer real consequences for their actions, and a host of other 80/20 issues.
